Standing at the base camp belayers work to provide safety anchors for the climber. This one time deal is exclusively for our intro to climbing students. Every visitor to planet granite must complete the liability waiver and present a government issued photo id card within 30 days of completing the waiver. This is what lets you belay in our gyms.

Those new to planet granite or returning members guests who have not been in the facility for one year or more have to take a belay test. Planet granite will issue a belay card and allow climbers to retain the belaying privileges only if the individual demonstrates the following safety items at all times and agrees to follow the posted planet granite rules.
